Marcia Thomas is a Gestalt Psychotherapist and counsellor.

Marcia qualified as a counsellor in 1991 and later as a Gestalt Psychotherapist in 1998. Over the last 10 years she has run a private practice where she has worked with individuals, couples and young people.

She is able to offer short or long-term therapy, and works with a range of issues including difficulty with relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, loss, as well as personal development and intercultural exploration. Her background has included a wide range of experience in the alcohol, drug and mental health professions, and she has worked extensively with children and young people and with families fleeing domestic violence. Marcia is also an experienced group worker and trainer and she has developed specialised group work for organisations and offers clinical supervision. Currently Marcia works for a leading childrens' charity, as a trainer and practitioner.
